Introduction
At a time when governments around the world are looking to put rails on blockchain tech, Developer DAO is multiplying opportunities to join the Web3 movement. We’re not the only player in this game - not by a long shot. But in the last week we’ve announced travel scholarships, sponsorships for React Miami, a new women’s space in the Discord, and opportunities for non-devs to get involved. Read on to learn more about these and other exciting developments around the DAO from the last week!
Sponsor: Thirdweb
Thirdweb is a powerful developer tool accelerating building in web3. More than 30,000 contracts have been deployed since their launch in December - all on-chain, 100% creator-owned. They’ve powered web3 apps built by 100 Thieves & Fnatic, to name a few. With thirdweb, you can easily build NFT drops, DAOs, marketplaces, ERC20 tokens, GameFi strategies, and more.
As of last week, they have some massive news to share: thirdweb is now completely free to use. You pay zero fees for deploying smart contracts, using their dashboard, or interfacing with their SDKs. This means you keep 100% of the money you make launching NFTs, marketplaces, tokens, governance contracts and more. The only fees you pay are transaction (gas) fees specific to the blockchain you’re deploying on. WAGMI 🚀

Humans of D_D
We are excited to introduce a new series highlighting the Humans of Developer DAO that dives into the stories of the amazing humans impacting the ecosystem that we’ve built today. We kick it off with @0xpaulie.eth, a contributor to this newsletter since its inception and the new Director of Web3 Content at Dev Spotlight.
Coming from a non-technical background, but always keen on technology and learning, Paulie’s interest in web development as a new career path led him down the Web3 spiral. By recognizing the amazing technology and the potential impact on society, it was evident that this is where he wanted to belong.
By constantly seeking out new opportunities to learn and meet other like-minded people, Paulie stumbled across Developer DAO. The curiosity led to a tremendous personal impact, and hecontinues to reciprocate by contributing to DAO initiatives. His blog post chronicaling the experience describes the learning opportunities that fostered a new passion for sharing all his learnings through writing. Give it a read on the D_D Blog.
As a firm believer in the future of D_D, Paulie advocates for our community to become the central hub for getting started or boosted into educational and work opportunities in the Web3 space.
