Introduction
Last night was a big night for sports. It was also a big night for crypto. Five crypto and crypto-adjacent companies spent big bucks for a slice of the notoriously expensive Super Bowl commercial breaks. Even a few non-crypto companies referenced cryptocurrencies or NFTs in their ads. It’s a sign not only that crypto is going “mainstream,” but also that crypto companies now wield impressive war chests of capital.
It’s exciting, but us devs at D_D know it’s still early, with lots left to be built. The past week, we’ve been busy preparing a killer lineup for web3con, getting ready to represent D_D at ETHDenver, and so much more. As always, we’re here to bring a little order to your inbox, and help you keep tabs on all of the amazing initiatives happening across the DAO.

NFT.Storage helps NFT developers today who are looking for easy APIs and best practices for storing their NFT data securely and resiliently. Even in the short-term, it is a trustless and decentralized solution. Users are able to cryptographically verify that the content identifiers that the service provides corresponds to their data, and that this data is hosted in multiple ways across the IPFS and Filecoin networks (allowing for accessibility across the network and preventing lock-in, with users also able to pin their data elsewhere to increase redundance). Store your NFTs for free today!
This Week

D_D meetup at ETHDenver confirmed
D_D’s ETHDenver IRL event is confirmed for this Friday, Feb 18, 7-11pm at Hudson Hill. Don’t hesitate to come by and join fellow D_D members for drinks and snacks. Many thanks to our sponsors – Alchemy, Radicle, Skynet, Livepeer, and MakerDAO – for their generosity in supporting this event.
Help out with Coordinape testing
We will be moving forward with a test Coordinape circle this week! As a reminder, Coordinape determines how we will allocate 10% of our $CODE governance token! We want to make sure no contributor is left out! If you are a contributor and haven't done so already, please fill out our form. Do it now to get in our test circle for this week! Even if you have not been able to contribute, you can join the circle to give votes while opting out of receiving votes yourself.

A draft proposal seeking to reward the full-time contributions of with-heart, Kempsterrrr, and RyanCoordinator is up for discussion on the forum. Much of D_D’s early success is a direct result of their contributions, and rewarding them for their efforts will help maintain our momentum into Season 1 and beyond.
Read the essay attempting to define the Anatomy of Guilds in Web3. It is a spiritual successor to a previously linked essay titled Progressive Decentralization and aims to outline an effective architecture for DAOs such as Developer DAO.
