This Week

A Message from Nader in the wake of the FTX collapse

These past few weeks, and really the past year or so, has been a pretty wild ride in the crypto / blockchain / web3 space. I've personally seen and experienced a lot of ups and downs, and I've seen others experience the same.

One thing I continue to come away with though is that I've noticed the integrity and decency that Developer DAO members exemplify continues to really stand out, especially among the bad actors and negative incidents that are making the headlines.

I'm proud every time I see someone from Developer DAO land a new role, get a promotion, ship a new project, or land a round of funding.

I continue seeing many Developer DAO members not only surviving, but thriving, through all of this. I strongly believe that you can insulate yourself at least somewhat from market turmoil by having a strong, hirable skillset and good network, which is a huge part of what Developer DAO can offer.

I also believe there is no shortcut to success, instead you become successful over time by having strong values and integrity in your dealings with other people and doing so consistently. Everyone will make mistakes, and even misjudge situations, and learn from their mistakes, but as long as they are operating with "doing the right thing" in mind, then it's easy to get back up, learn , make amends, and keep going.

It's hard to know what's going to happen in the next year, but I personally am just as excited as ever about the future of this space. It's still nascent, there will be more crazy things to happen, but the growth and adoption that we've started seeing in the past year is a great indicator that the real-world use cases are being recognized.
