P-14: Increase the May & June Short-Term Allocations for Retaining Core Staff Due to Market Changes – adjust GTC allocations to core staff to take into account market conditions; up for Snapshot voting

P-13: Developer DAO Improvement Proposal Formalization – a meta-proposal to define the governance process after the $CODE token drop; up for forum voting, moving to Snapshot soon

[DRAF] DAO Operators – a proposal to formalize the role of Core Operators, members with specific and strategic tasks that drive the success of D_D forward and are rewarded with a monthly salary; share your thoughts and suggestions in the comments!

  • The proposal seeking to adjust and release allocations for our full-time core staff is now up for voting on Snapshot! If passed, this proposal will amend the terms of P-9: Short-term Treasury Allocation to Retain Core Staff to adjust and immediately release allocations to insulate against further market volatility.

  • A new draft proposal for DAO Operators is available for discussion on the forum. This proposal aims to define the role of Core Operator and all its responsibilities. In short, these members are dedicated to D_D and will help drive the execution of work towards our goals as a DAO.

Help Needed

  • Be sure to weigh in on the discussion and vote on our active proposals! Each one is equally important, and all help form a stronger foundation for Developer DAO as the off-season ramps up. There will be more proposals soon as we get closer to Season 1, so watch for announcements and keep an eye on the #📜-gov-proposals channel.

Project Updates / Announcements

  • An initial draft of the Design Guild Season 1 Budget is available for discussion before moving on to the forum. This draft discusses the goals of the guild, work in progress, potential bounties, and more while providing estimates of the $CODE allocation for each. Please take the time to read it and provide feedback. Suggestions are always welcome!

  • The next step for the Season 1 Budget Proposal is to move the draft onto the forum and push it towards being an official proposal. Please join the Design Guild Biweekly Sync on June 8th to discuss any concerns or suggestions. You can RSVP for the meeting in the #🗓️-d_d-events channel.

  • The Writers Guild is deciding on essential topics to cover for our Season 1 Budget Proposal. Some proposed topics include the Scribe Program, a new Content Coordinator role, and potential ad hoc content creation for the School of Code Project.   • Contract Book Club, a joint education effort between D_D and Macro, is set to kick off in the next few weeks. This club will meet every 2 weeks on Tuesdays synchronously for a workshop around the selected protocol. They’ll discuss protocol setup and configuration, smart contract development, security & exploits, and explore best practices. If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, keep an eye out for the announcement of the program’s launch!
